The IRS changed the due date for C Corporation returns from March 15 to April 15. This caused a ripple effect among other tax jurisdictions we track. As a result, this interim release contains changes to the due dates for the following jurisdictions:
To April 15:
- Alabama,
- Alaska (see note below)
- California,
- District of Columbia,
- Federal,
- Georgia,
- Illinois,
- Maryland,
- Maine,
- Minnesota,
- Mississippi,
- Nebraska,
- New Hampshire,
- New Mexico,
- New York City,
- New York State,
- Rhode Island,
- South Carolina,
- Tennessee,
- Utah,
- Vermont, and
- West Virginia.
To May 1:
- Connecticut,
- Delaware, and
- Florida.
To May 15:
- Louisiana,
- Oklahoma,
- Oregon, and
- Pennsylvania.
Please note that Alaska has different due dates for annual returns and payments. Payments are due on the 15th day of the fourth month, but returns are not due until the 15th day of the fifth month.
We also made a retroactive change to the due date for Ohio. Further due date refinements will be incorporated in the second quarter release of Instant Interest.
